Austin, TX Based Indie-Folk Duo

Short Bio

Beth // James is an indie folk duo from Austin, Texas made up of award winning singer-songwriters Mikaela Beth Kahn and Jordan James Burchill. Their original songs and razor sharp musicianship pick up where the Civil Wars left off.

Their debut EP, All In Life, is "a shimmering mix of modern folk, mindful pop, and Americana charm," according to Paste Magazine. The EP was named one of "5 Standout EP's" of 2017 by the Austin American-Statesman, and you can hear their original song, "Lion Eyes" in Spike Lee's newest feature film 'BlacKkKlansman' (produced by Jordan Peele of Academy-Award® winning Get Out). In theaters worldwide August 10th, 2018.

The duo only began writing together in 2015, though they met in 2008 while studying music in college. Creating their own unique sound, Beth // James navigates effortlessly among American music traditions, rooted in storytelling, but with added indie pop/rock elements, intricate guitar work and arresting harmony.

Their debut EP, All In Life and their new single Wasted on Sundays are available now everywhere music is sold or streamed.
